( Notes, if you can call them that )Funnily enough, the main point of the lecture related to that number 42, the only number I didn't attach excessive notes to.
Excerpt from the spider guy's 'blog. "I wish that I did have a time machine, I would take my Macbook Pro back to 1984 and visit Steve Jobs. After selling my laptop to him for millions I would return to the present. I could do this several times as each time the present technologies would have changed. It is a flawless plan, I am sure you will agree, lacking only the availability of time/dimension manipulation technologies."
Which means more quoting of random bits of the notes that I find funny.
Rupture of the urethra This may occur during mating, the boar enters the urethra rather than the anterior vagina. Tearing of the urethra occurs, with the sow dying due to haemorrhage Tue, Oct. 28th, 2008, 03:26 pm
I was wrong. According to E-tax, such people (me) don't have to do a tax return. Wed, Oct. 1st, 2008, 08:43 pm Okay...

So I was hoping that Apple would announce a bigger iPod, or at least reduce the price of the 160. Instead they axed the 160. And I can't buy one of the few that are still left around because I don't have the money :(
Gave my first epidural. Made an animal literally piss itself for the first time. Sun, Jul. 27th, 2008, 05:23 pm A list of songs
I made this list for a thread (the theme of which was 'Songs to listen to before you die') on a message board I'm on, but I thought I'd post it here for no real reason. ( La la laaaa )Feel free to add.
"Hendra virus has a 50 per cent mortality rate in humans" From http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/07/17/2306984.htmWell, yes, before the current outbreak it is true that 2 of the known 4 human cases of Hendra resulted in death. But is that really a sufficient sample space to give any meaning at all? EDIT: This gives a 95% confidence interval that the death rate is between 1% and 99% (using Z-dist). I am subscribed to the 'Murdoch University New Veterinary Books' RSS feed. These are two of the books I got in my feed today. Mon, Jul. 14th, 2008, 06:44 pm +1
I can add to the list of things I have done in my life:
Install a toilet.
When a person that is on Youth Allowance and has no job (for the financial year in question), has had no tax taken out and will not have to pay any (due to the low-income rebate) has to do a tax return. The tax system should be simplified, reducing the number of silly little rebates (which chew up money in administrative costs) and simply raise the thresholds and/or lower the tax rates. I'm sure simplification could result in a system that is better for everyone.
is baking a loaf of bread and eating the crust while it's still hot.
Took some pics of one of my favourite bits of scenery. greteldragon and kadeton pulled over while I was taking them because they thought we might have broken down or something. Here are the results. ( Pictures )The smell of bread cooking is delicious and yeasty. |
